What an amazing Stomach Churn event this year! The races were graced with a sunny day in the midst of a very wet week. The track was slippery but the skies were dry and we had a good turnout for all events, with everyone able to hang out and enjoy the food and good company.
Thanks to the High School Humboldt Composite Mountain Bike Team we had the largest Junior field ever at a Stomach Churn race, with our youngest rider on track being only 9 years old!. The younger riders impressed all with their skill and endurance, as most opted to compete in the 30 minute and the Hour events! Close races in the the senior ranks made for good spectating throughout the day as riders made sense of the many lines the Stomach Churn course has to offer. The day finished off with a scintillating crailing championship that saw this homegrown sport continue to win over new riders.
